What I believe

I believe in the resiliency of the human Spirit. With greater self-awareness, tools and relational resources we have the ability to strive toward our own personal wellness. For the Christian population, our biggest resource is our faith. But for some, scripture has been used as a weapon to harm rather than a tool to heal. When we address these distortions, we realign our understanding of who we are, and God’s love for us. Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Personal

I’m a transplant from New Albany, IN. I embraced my faith at an early age, was baptized in high school, and was active in the Christian Student Fellowship during my BA studies at Indiana University Southeast. I have been married for over 24 years and my husband and I have one daughter. We live in Lebanon, IN and have been members of Traders Point Christian Church for over a decade. I enjoy practicing tai chi, reading, and making quality time with my friends and family.

Training/Experience

I have a BA in Psychology from Indiana University Southeast and went on to receive my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2006. I have counseled individuals, couples and families at East 91st Street Christian Church, the Christian Theological Seminary and at a few other Christian Integrative professional venues. For 9 years I was a part of the Northern Light Christian Counseling team. Now, I am privileged to work with our team at RGC.
