What I believe
I love the verse in psalm 139 verse 5 (the passion translation) that says of God, “You’ve gone into my future to prepare the way, and in kindness you follow behind me to spare me from the harm of my past.” I believe in one way or another most of us have suffered broken heartedness. Having a safe place to share your story in therapy can make a big difference towards healing and integration. Reaching out for support is a beautiful and brave thing to do. I see my role as coming alongside you as you grow, transform and heal and it is a privilege to do so!
Personal
I grew up in Frankfort, Indiana. I became a Christian at church camp when I was in high school but it wasn’t until I went to IU Bloomington for my undergraduate degree that my faith became active. In 2002, I moved to Seattle, Washington to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling from The Seattle School. I lived in Seattle for 15 years before moving back to Indiana. Now, I live back in Frankfort in my childhood home (full circle). I am married and we are expecting a baby girl in March of 2024. I enjoy writing, dancing, and spending time with friends and family. My husband and I are active members or Freedom Church in Lebanon, Indiana.
