What I Believe
Our stories are still being written. We are not the sum total of things we have done and things that have been done to us. We are often derailed by life events, troubled pasts and damaging relationships, but we all have the ability to change, heal and grow into the person God is calling us to be. I believe that we are all created in the image and likeness of God and have inherent value and worth. My goal is to encourage clients to reach their goals in a healthy way by helping them to see themselves as God sees them and to learn the skills needed to deal with whatever challenges they face.
Personal
I was not truly a Christian until after I was married. Since then, I have been actively involved in my home church. We have been attending Traders Point Christian Church for over 25 years. I have had a ministry for couples who have experienced infant loss or miscarriage for over 20 years. I have been married for over 35 years and I have three children. Two are grown and out on their own, while the youngest gets married this summer.

Training/Experience
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Indiana University. I worked for Noble Centers of Indiana, Inc. for almost four years, working with adults and children with developmental disabilities. I stayed at home with my children for 17 years and participated in the church’s counseling ministry. For the last twelve years, I have worked in private practice.
