What I believe
I believe Jesus came down to earth and loved us so much that he died for our sins so we could have a life of freedom and learn to serve others. Galatians 5:13 “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” God has a good plan for every one of His believers but certain life events, thought patterns or bad choices keep us from receiving all the goodness God has in store for us. We all stumble and fall short of the glory of God. I see my role as coming beside you to help
you get back up and not be stuck anymore from old hurts that may be holding you back.
I grew up in the church in Connersville, IN. I was baptized when I was 9. I had a time period where I was searching again so it wasn't until I was 24 that I really consider myself a Christian. I've lived in several Indiana towns but now call Lafayette home. I enjoy serving at my church, traveling, being out in nature, and connecting with family and friends.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Purdue University, and I have a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and Community Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. I worked at Hamilton Center for 4 1/2 years in Southern Indiana and then Wabash Valley Alliance which later changed their name to Valley Oaks Health. I've had over 10 years of experience working with adults, teens, couples and kids. In 2006, I started at Wellspring Counseling Center of Greater Lafayette where I did more integrated Christian Counseling. I am now excited to be part of RGC; Stephanie and I met in graduate school and always dreamed of working together. I'm at the Lebanon and West Lafayette locations.
